Sea Water Activated Torpedo Release Mechanism TRM STGU
Torpedo Release Mechanism Unit (TRMU) is to release the parachute, when it enters into the seawater within the specified time. The system consists of three main components a mechanical pyro pusher, seawater contact switches, thermal & primary batteries with the required electronics.
The system is housed in an enclosure unit having two interface connectors. One of the connector is interfaced with the sensors and with the breakaway switch and the pyro cartridges. Sensors water contact switches are installed on the periphery of the FIAM compartment at 4 defined locations in pairs and are interfaced to the torpedo release mechanism (TRM) unit by a connector.
Seawater PH (PH 8 to 9.5) specific Activation (will not trigger in Neutral/Rain Water) to Activate Pyro Pusher. Complete Dual Redundant, Analog Design. Integrated Thermal Battery for Long Shelf Life of upto 5+ years. Reaction time of under 5mS on full immersion. Simulator for Complete Health testing and FDFL
